Ross Ormsby 200 games

He is known for having the best hair to have ever played Adelaide & Suburban and this game Ross Ormsby plays his 200th game still without having a hair out of place!

Ross debuted for the club back in 92/93 in Division six against Sheidow Park having never played a game of cricket before. Since that time Ross has amassed over 3500 runs with 2000 of those runs being in Division 1. To go with his runs Ross has also taken 100 wickets and taken numerous catches. Ross has amassed 119 A grade games in his total of 200 games having been a constant and integral part of the A grade for many years.

Ross has won numerous fielding trophies and is best remembered for his three match winning catches in the 1996 B grade premiership. Ross has also been a past winner of the prestigious JJ Hepinstall trophy and the Players choice trophy for the best player in the club. Ross has also been a long serving committee member and has also won the Brian Part best clubman of the year award. For Ross’s years of service to the club he is also a Keswick life member.

Ross is still a valued club member and here’s hoping he can play his next 200 without having a hair out of place. Congratulations Ross.

Shaun Hansen – 500 Wickets

Congratulations to Shaun Hansen on taking his 500th wicket for Keswick, Shaun a Life Member of Keswick has played 242 games since starting with Keswick in 1989, along with the 500 wickets he has also made 2572 Runs.

Shaun is 5th in the all time wicket takers list.

Chocolates Fund Raising Drive - See Darren if you can help!

Over the last couple of seasons the club has raised money through sales of Cadbury Chocolates Variety boxes.  Simon Krieg has taken on this important job this year and placed an offer for 15 variety boxes, each box having 50 chocolate bars, for sale at $1 per bar.  The 15 variety boxes have been delivered to my work address and Heath has kindly taken the first 3 boxes and I think he was passing one of these boxes onto Stinga to sell through his contacts.  Thanks guys!

I have sent this message to everyone on the committee and the team captains hoping that you will all put your hand up to co-ordinate the sale of these boxes.  Let me know if you can sell a box on behalf of the club.  The club gets to keep all proceeds from the sale of these boxes.  I can bring the boxes down to training on Thursday night.

Darren Ridings

Treasurer

Tuesday training will be at Westminster

Please all note that due to the ongoing carpark construction work at Immanuel, training on Tuesday evenings will be at Westminster until further notice. Thanks.
